Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of dishes
- Prepare a variety of menu items with precision and attention to detail, maintaining high culinary standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety protocols
- Assist in developing new recipes and menu innovations to enhance customer experience
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
- Solid knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP procedures
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service excellence is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
