Hours: 25 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday with flexible shift patterns

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Admin Assistant to join our team at George Watson's College. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in administration while gaining experience across finance, marketing, and business support within a professional educational environment.
Working as part of the Sodexo team, you will provide high-quality administrative support, assist with marketing activities, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of college operations.
What You'll Do:

Provide efficient and professional general administrative support, including email management, document preparation, filing, meeting coordination, and maintaining accurate records.

Provide finance administration support, including data entry, invoice processing, spreadsheet maintenance, and financial record management.

Assist with the preparation, creation, and distribution of marketing materials, social media content, and promotional campaigns to promote the College.

Support the organisation and coordination of projects, events, and wider College initiatives.

Provide responsive day-to-day administrative and operational support to colleagues and other stakeholders.

Use Microsoft Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and social media platforms effectively to complete a range of administrative, finance, and marketing tasks.

Communicate professionally and effectively with staff, students, prospective students, parents, external suppliers, and other stakeholders as required.

Ensure administrative and finance tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.

Produce engaging and appropriate marketing and social media content that supports the College’s communications and promotional activities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, spreadsheets, databases, and documentation, ensuring information is organised and readily accessible.

Build and maintain positive working relationships by providing professional, courteous, and responsive support to staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders.

Support the College with Health and Safety (H&S) management and related administrative activities, as required
What You’ll Bring:
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn. You'll enjoy working in a busy environment, managing a variety of tasks, and delivering excellent support to colleagues and stakeholders.
You will ideally have:

Previous experience in administration, customer service, marketing, or an office environment (desirable but not essential).

Experience creating social media content or promotional materials (beneficial but not essential).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
