A highly respected and long standing Independent lettings and property management company are looking for a, committed, hardworking and capable Lettings Negotiator based in Bushey, WD23
As a Lettings Negotiator you will be responsible for a growing portfolio of properties and must be able to handle your own workload, keep on top of any issues and prioritise jobs as necessary. Your organisation, and time management skills will be exceptional as will your attention to detail. We are a small established team therefore you must also be able to work well as a team player and a good sense of humour is vital.
Key tasks of this role include:
· Conducting market appraisals and advising Landlord clients of achievable rental levels,
· Advertising properties as they come onto the market.
· Processing email and telephone enquiries for advertised properties
· Carrying out viewings with applicants,
· Sending application forms to selected enquirers
· Processing application forms and selecting the appropriate tenant for the property
· Progressing the application to a formal offer
· Work closely with the pre-tenancy administrator and liaise with property maintenance department to ensure any works required at a property are processed efficiently, properties are fully compliant and all pre tenancy and applicant checks are carried out successfully.
The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:
· A minimum of 5 years in an office based role is required. Proven track record as a Letting negotiator would be seen as beneficial.
· Candidates should have Letting agency experience and ideally a knowledge of the TDS scheme.
. Candidate must be fluent in the English Language as the ability to communicate effectively with reference companies, Landlords, Tenants, contractors and colleagues is a must.
· Experience in document checks and referencing is advantageous.
· Should be confident, well-presented and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Exceptional organisation and time management skills a must as well as possessing good attention to detail.
· To be able to multi task and help cover other members of staff on occasion,
· Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office and Excel.
· This role involves working under pressure therefore candidates must be able to multi-task. This is an office based role.
· A car is required as you will be visiting various properties on a daily basis. (mileage allowance given)
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:30pm 1 hour for lunch.
Saturday - One half day 9-1pm every 4-5 weeks ( a half day given in lieu when a Saturday is worked.
For the right applicant;
Starting salary £23,000 on application depending on experience.
