Job Overview
The Senior Digital Delegate Manager is a hybrid role combining the technical expertise of a Digital Solutions Manager with the operational leadership and delegate experience focus of a Senior Delegate Manager. The role leads complex digital and delegate management projects across Strata's event portfolio, creating a seamless journey from registration and communications through travel, accommodation, onsite delivery and post-event reporting.
Working closely with clients, Project Managers, Delegate Management teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders, the Senior Digital Delegate Manager owns the end-to-end delivery of registration platforms, event apps, email communications, delegate logistics, onsite digital solutions and accurate event data. The role combines hands-on platform expertise with senior project ownership, client counsel, mentoring, commercial awareness and continuous improvement.
The Senior Digital Delegate Manager plays a key role in developing Strata's integrated digital and delegate management offering by identifying practical innovations, improving processes and helping teams use technology and data to strengthen the delegate experience and event outcomes.
Success in this role will be measured through reliable delivery of complex projects, client and delegate satisfaction, data accuracy, commercial control, quality and compliance, team development, innovation adoption and contribution to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Project Leadership

Lead end-to-end digital and delegate management delivery for high-profile, complex or strategically important events across multiple client accounts.

Act as the main operational and technology point of contact for clients, Project Managers, internal teams and suppliers.

Translate event objectives and delegate requirements into robust delivery plans, platform specifications, communications schedules, logistics processes and reporting outputs.

Own project timelines, dependencies, risks and quality controls, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope and to the required standard.
Digital Solutions Delivery

Build, configure, test, deploy and manage registration websites, event apps, email communications, virtual and hybrid platforms, badging, check-in and other onsite event technologies.

Develop and maintain detailed platform plans covering functionality, content, data capture, user journeys, integrations, testing and delivery milestones.

Conduct and oversee comprehensive quality assurance testing, ensuring solutions meet client objectives, brand guidelines, accessibility requirements and client-specific compliance standards, including Veeva where applicable.

Provide senior-level technical support during live events and manage the resolution of critical platform or technology issues.

Identify, evaluate and recommend technologies that improve delivery efficiency, user experience, engagement or reporting.

Maintain quality management processes in line with ISO9001 standards.
Delegate Management and Communications

Lead the delegate journey from invitation and registration through pre-event communications, travel, accommodation, visa support, onsite attendance and post-event follow-up.

Develop and manage clear, accurate and audience-appropriate delegate communications, including invitations, confirmations, joining instructions, reminders and event updates.

Oversee complex or high-volume attendee logistics and ensure information is captured, checked and communicated accurately.

Maintain service standards and SLA compliance across all delegate touchpoints, ensuring queries and issues are resolved promptly and professionally.

Ensure digital platforms and delegate management processes operate as one joined-up service, with consistent data and a seamless user experience.
Data, Reporting and Compliance

Oversee registration reports, rooming and travel reports, attendance analysis, engagement analytics and post-event reporting.

Ensure the accuracy, integrity and consistency of event and delegate data across platforms, templates and stakeholder outputs.

Use data to identify risks, monitor progress and provide actionable recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Support reporting templates and data visualisation approaches that improve decision-making and demonstrate event outcomes.

Apply GDPR, data security and best-practice data management requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including the appropriate handling of personal, dietary and accessibility information.
Client Relationship Management

Build trusted client relationships and act as a confident advisor on event technology, delegate experience and operational delivery.

Lead discovery sessions, platform demonstrations, project updates, logistics reviews and post-event debriefs.

Understand client objectives and recommend practical solutions that strengthen the delegate journey and event outcomes.

Anticipate client requirements, communicate clearly and maintain high standards across all deliverables.

Support client retention and organic growth through proactive, dependable and insight-led service delivery.
Commercial and Supplier Management
-
Contribute to proposals, pitches, briefs, demonstrations, costings and technology recommendations for new and existing business.

Work with Project Managers to support accurate budgeting, purchase orders, supplier invoices, financial tracking and post-event reconciliation.

Manage relationships with event technology, travel, accommodation and other delegate service suppliers as required.

Monitor supplier delivery, resolve issues and ensure products and services meet agreed scope, quality and timing.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability through efficient processes, appropriate technology choices and value-added services.
Team Leadership and Development
-
Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring and coaching to Digital Solutions Coordinators, Delegate Managers, Coordinators and wider event delivery teams.

Support onboarding, training and development, sharing practical knowledge and consistent ways of working.

Act as an escalation point for technical, logistical and delivery challenges.

Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across Digital Solutions, Delegate Management and project delivery teams.
Internal Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

Partner with Project Managers, Producers, Creative, Marketing, Operations and other teams to ensure integrated event delivery.

Participate in internal and client debriefs, capturing learnings and turning them into practical improvements.

Develop and maintain templates, workflows, standard operating procedures and quality assurance guidance for digital and delegate delivery.

Share relevant technology developments, platform updates, industry trends and project learnings across the business.

Support case studies, thought leadership and marketing content that showcase successful digital and delegate solutions.
Onsite Event Delivery

Lead onsite registration, check-in, badging, app support, attendee helpdesk activity and other digital or delegate services.

Coordinate onsite teams and suppliers, maintaining clear roles, escalation routes and service standards.

Provide calm, senior leadership during live delivery and resolve operational or technical issues quickly and professionally.

Ensure a seamless, welcoming and well-managed experience for delegates and clients.

Travel as required to support domestic and international events.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the below experience:
Knowledge & Experience

Significant experience delivering both digital event technology and delegate management services within an events agency, venue, client-side team or event technology environment.

Proven experience with registration platforms, event apps, email communications, onsite event technology and delegate databases.

Proven experience managing complex attendee logistics, including travel, accommodation, visa support and onsite delivery.

Experience leading large-scale, complex and multi-stakeholder projects from planning through reconciliation and debrief.

Strong understanding of digital user experience, accessibility, data protection and event technology best practice.

Experience managing suppliers and technology partners.
-
Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, automotive or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous.
