Join the dynamic team at Exodus Vintage as a Retail Sales Assistant. We are looking for a hardworking and customer-focused individual with a genuine interest in classic British vintage clothing and heritage brands.
You will assist customers, promote and sell our clothing, maintain attractive displays, and help prepare garments for the shop floor. This role will be based in Brick Lane.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalised assistance
- Use your retail and sales experience to recommend suitable items and encourage purchases
- Share your knowledge of classic British vintage clothing and heritage brands
- Steam garments and ensure all clothing is clean, presentable, and ready for sale
- Organise displays, restock rails, and present products attractively
- Inform customers about promotions and recommend complementary products
- Handle customer enquiries in person and over the phone professionally
- Keep the shop floor, changing areas, and displays clean and organised
- Assist with stock checks and follow all shop procedures
- Work efficiently and complete tasks promptly during busy periods
- Support the Exodus Vintage team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales is required
- Good knowledge of classic British vintage clothing is highly preferred
- Confident using a clothes steamer safely and correctly
- Hardworking, reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative
- Able to speak clear and confident English
- Bilingual or multilingual applicants are highly preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Dressing in a way that reflects vintage fashion and the Exodus brand is welcomed but not required
