Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Finance Assistant to join our finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The Group operates across the UK, USA and France, offering genuine exposure to how a multi-entity finance function works. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to build foundational accounting skills while supporting day-to-day financial operations.
Duties
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using Xero accounting software
- Support accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely vendor transactions across our UK, US and French entities
- Help reconcile bank statements and prepare basic financial reports to support the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Maintain organised documentation of all transactions, invoices, and receipts for audit readiness
- Contribute ideas for improving finance workflows and processes as you gain familiarity with the team's systems
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience or familiarity with Xero accounting software is highly desirable
- Proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, willing-to-learn attitude
- French language skills are desirable
- Prior experience of working in a busy finance team is advantageous but not essential
