Summary

This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to the Safeguarding Adults Board and the broader safeguarding partnership during a pivotal phase of strategic growth. Collaborating closely with the newly appointed Independent Chair and various multi-agency partners, you will provide expert guidance, leadership, and support to uphold exemplary safeguarding practices across the partnership.
Responsibilities

Offer expert safeguarding advice and guidance to statutory and partner agencies.

Support the implementation of the Safeguarding Partnership's strategic priorities and objectives.

Lead and coordinate Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs), ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into practice.

Oversee the business and governance functions of the Safeguarding Adults Board and its sub-groups.

Develop and deliver multi-agency safeguarding training, learning events, and communication programs.

Conduct annual multi-agency learning needs analyses to inform training and workforce development.

Lead quality assurance activities, including audits, performance monitoring, and data analysis.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in adult safeguarding services.

Proven experience in advising, supporting, and challenging professionals on safeguarding issues.

Experience in leading or contributing to Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) or similar statutory reviews.

Experience in delivering safeguarding training and workforce development programs.

Demonstrated success in multi-agency partnership collaboration.
Essential Qualifications

Degree, postgraduate qualification, or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field such as:

Social Work

Health
-
Police
-
Probation
-
Education
-
Community Safety
-
Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' substantial experience in a relevant safeguarding-related field.

Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in safeguarding.

Work Pattern: 2 days remote, 3 days in the office, negotiable weekly
