Preschool Manager - Term Time
Annual Salary: £24,641.50 - £25,366.25pa (pro rata) / £17.00 - £17.50 per hour
Location: Whitchurch, Hampshire RG28
Hours: 32.5 hours | Monday–Friday / Shifts between 9.15am-3.15pm
Contract: Permanent, term time only
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Preschool / Nursery Manager to join our fantastic preschool in Whitchurch, Hampshire RG28.
This role offers a highly attractive hybrid working opportunity, with up to 2 days per week working from home, subject to the needs of the business. This provides the successful candidate with greater flexibility and work-life balance, whilst remaining fully engaged in the leadership and ongoing development of the preschool.
For over 50 years, our preschool has played an important role in supporting children and families across Whitchurch and the surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment where children can thrive. We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Preschool Manager to lead our dedicated team, oversee the day-to-day running of the setting, support staff development, maintain high standards of care and education, and help shape the future success of the preschool.

Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the preschool
- Maintain high standards of childcare, teaching, and learning in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Lead safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Support quality improvement, self-evaluation, and Ofsted preparation
- Recruit, supervise, and support staff, including appraisals, wellbeing, and rota management
- Work closely with trustees and committees to support governance and charity objectives
- Monitor budgets, occupancy, and financial sustainability
- Build positive relationships with families, schools, and external agencies
About You
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 desirable)
- Leadership or management experience within an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding legislation
- Experience supporting staff development and quality improvement
- Strong organisational, budgeting, and communication skills
- Understanding of occupancy management and financial sustainability
- Eligible to work in the UK
