Blink recruitment are working with a growing precision engineering company based in Stoke-on-Trent, manufacturing high-quality components for a range of demanding industries including Automotive, Hydraulics, Medical, Semiconductor, Off-Highway and Mining. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our skilled production team.
The Role
As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machinery to produce precision components to customer specifications.
You'll work with a range of components and production requirements, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a technically varied machining environment.
You'll be responsible for:
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting and setting tooling
- Setting and adjusting tool offsets
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out your own in-process inspection and quality checks
- Using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment
- Identifying and resolving tooling or machining issues
- Maintaining consistent quality throughout production
- Working to production schedules and maintaining agreed standards
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
About You:
- Previous CNC Turning experience in a precision engineering environment
- Strong engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Good knowledge of tooling, workholding and cutting conditions
- Experience setting offsets and making machining adjustments
- Good knowledge of engineering tolerances
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- A strong eye for quality and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
- Experience working with complex components, batch production or tight-tolerance machining would be advantageous.

Hours & Pay:.
Days: - Monday - Thursday = 07:30am - 16:30pm & Friday = 07:30am - 12:30pm
Nights: - Monday to Thursday 19:00 to 05:15 hours.
Overtime payable for anything over 39 hours
If successful you will be employed under a temp to perm contract. You will serve a 12 week probation whilst employed by Blink Recruitment. During this probation you will be monitored on timekeeping and attendance along with work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team.
Once you have successfully completed the 12 weeks you will be transferred over a as a permanent employee. If you wish to be considered for this role:

Blink Recruitment operate a full in house PAYE payroll. We do not use the services of Umbrella payroll schemes. All workers accrue holiday pay per hour worked. Paid Weekly with a week in arrears.
