ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,700 colleagues. We are now looking for a Multiskilled Packaging Operative to support our packaging and production operations.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will ensure packaging materials are available, accurately labelled and ready for production. You will support stock control, goods in, and box erection activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, traceability and organisation.
Monday- Friday, 9pm- 6am.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and book in packaging deliveries, ensuring accuracy and correct labelling.
- Move packaging safely across site using MHE, maintaining full traceability.
- Ensure packaging is available to production in line with the plan.
- Erect boxes in line with production requirements and store them correctly.
- Monitor stock levels, report shortages and highlight discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records using ERP systems and complete required paperwork.
- Quarantine and report damaged or non-conforming packaging.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
- Work closely with production, warehouse and admin teams to support operations.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a warehouse, packaging or production environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Prophet desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment.
- Flexible, proactive approach with strong teamwork skills.
