Overview
Due to retirement, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 tipper driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. Regular nights out are required Monday to Friday, depending on the location of work.
Responsibilities
- Operate tipper lorries to transport goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of goods, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with Category C.
- Valid tachograph and Driver CPC cards.
- MPQC Card preferred (training can be provided if required).
- Proven experience as a commercial driver.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
