About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to provide high-quality cleaning services in private homes. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and comfortable living environment for clients, working independently or as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general domestic cleaning in clients’ homes
- Tasks include: tidying, dusting, hoovering, mopping and polishing
- Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard
- Changing bed linen and making beds where required
- Emptying bins and removing household waste
- Using cleaning products safely and appropriately
- Following client instructions and specific cleaning preferences
- Reporting any damages, maintenance issues, or concerns
- Ensuring respect for clients’ privacy and property at all times
- Adhering to health and safety policies at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience (domestic or commercial preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Right to work in the UK
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided)
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required
- Reliability, punctuality and trustworthy are essential traits for success in this role
Desirable
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience working in private households
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
