Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by offering compassionate care, emotional support, and assistance with daily living tasks. You will work closely with individuals to promote independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individual needs.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting (if required).
- Support residents with daily activities, outings, and social engagement.
- Encourage and promote independence while providing reassurance when needed.
- Administer medication in line with care plans.
- Monitor and record changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate care records and follow all policies and procedures.
- Support residents with dietary needs, including meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for all residents.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- Respond effectively to challenging behavior, following training and care plans.
Requirements:
- Experience in care (preferred but not essential) – Full training provided.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo necessary training, including safeguarding and first aid.
- A commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and person-centered care.
- Must have a driving license.
