As a Bathroom Fitter’s Mate - Trainee, you will learn the essential skills needed to assist an experienced bathroom fitter in installing, repairing, and maintaining bathrooms across various settings. Duties
- Assist senior bathroom fitter with preparing work sites, including measuring and marking areas for installation
- Support with the handling and transportation of materials, tools, and fixtures to job sites
- Operate power tools under supervision for tasks like cutting tiles or fitting fixtures
- Learn basic plumbing tasks including connecting pipes, fittings, and fixtures under guidance
- Help with heavy lifting of bathroom units, tiles, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols at all times and maintain a clean work environment to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to learn trade skills in bathroom fitting and plumbing
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations
- Willingness to undertake on-the-job training in plumbing, tiling, plastering, carpentry and other general building work involved in bathroom fitting
- Reliability and strong time keeping is essential
- Own transport to job sites is essential

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm *No weekends*
Pay: From £250.00 per week
