The Pooch Planet is looking for a part-time Dog Groomer to join our friendly and proffesional team.
We are a professional, holistic, cage-free dog grooming salon, providing a calm, caring and personalised experience for our clients and their dogs.
A recognised dog grooming qualification or relevant proffesional dog grooming experience is required for this position. Newly qualified groomers are welcomed to apply.
The role:
- Part time: 2 days a week
- Hours: 9am to 4pm
- One weekday plus alternate Saturdays
- Opportunity to increase the number of working days in the future as the business grows.
- Regular, agreed working days
- Grooming a variety of breeds, coat types and temperaments.
- Full grooms, baths, puppy grooms and breed-standard
- Maintain a clean, safe and calm grooming environment.
- Providing a proffesional, caring and positive experience for every dog and their owner.
About you:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a recognised grooming qualification or relevant proffesional grooming experience
- Is genuinely caring, compassionate and patient with dogs
- Has a strong understanding of dog welfare and always put the dog's comfort and wellbeing first
- Handles dogs calmly, confidently and safely
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Is reliable, punctual and proffesional
- Is willing to learn and develop their grooming skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Can commit to the agreed working days and hours consistently. Including alternate Saturdays
Pay:
From £12.71 per hour, depending on experience.
