Job Summary
700 Club is a housing and homelessness charity based in Darlington, and we are seeking an experienced Grant Applications Lead to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for sustaining existing funding streams, securing renewals, and identifying new funding opportunities. You will produce high-quality, persuasive tender and funding applications tailored to our various projects.
To succeed, you must be able to craft compelling, evidence-based written material that clearly demonstrates the impact of our services and how they address the specific needs of our service users.
The position also involves engaging with new and existing funders to build and maintain strong relationships, as well as ensuring timely submission of data returns and written reports.
You will work closely with the Corporate Team to source, prepare, and review bid submissions and tender documents, ensuring accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
Previous experience in bid writing is essential.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and apply for funding opportunities through both new and existing streams.
- Create high-quality, persuasive funding applications that clearly demonstrate the value of our services and how they address specific service user needs.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all services provided by the 700 Club to ensure bids are accurate, informed, and aligned with funder requirements.
- Review, critique, and refine existing written materials, making edits and improvements to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Proactively source high-quality content from internal and external stakeholders to enhance the quality of 700 Club’s proposals.
- Schedule, prepare, and submit reports and returns on time, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Utilise case studies, testimonials, and robust data to evidence the organisation’s success in meeting service-user needs.
- Maintain flexibility to accommodate application and reporting deadlines.
- Seek feedback on both successful and unsuccessful bids to inform future submissions and raise overall quality standards.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
