Halman Thompson are small, independent business specialising in the manufacture of high-end products from brass, copper and steel. From splashbacks and worktops to table tops, bar tops and signage, everything we produce is made to order and crafted with care.

The Role
You'll be working in our workshop helping to manufacture and finish a wide range of bespoke metal products. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll be involved in the process from raw materials through to finished pieces ready for delivery to customers.
Your duties may include:
- Cutting, shaping and fabricating sheet metal
- Using hand tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently
- Reading and working from drawings
- Bonding metal sheets to MDF or plywood substrates
- Applying patina finishes and protective lacquers
- Hand-finishing edges and surfaces to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace
- Taking pride in producing quality products that you'll be proud to put your name to
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Has good attention to detail
- Takes pride in doing a job properly
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
- Is reliable and works well as part of a small team
- Has workshop or fabrication experience (preferred but not essential, as training can be provided)
A driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
Salary
Salary will be dependent on experience and skills. We're open to considering candidates from different backgrounds, and for the right person, we're happy to discuss a package that reflects the value they can bring to the business.
