Job Title: Targeted Family Support Team Leader

Working Pattern: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in the office
Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Targeted Family Support Team Leader to join a Targeted Early Help Service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to lead a skilled team supporting children, young people and families with complex needs, helping to achieve positive outcomes and prevent escalation to statutory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop practitioners within the Targeted Early Help Service.
- Provide effective supervision and oversight of caseloads, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes.
- Ensure robust assessments, effective action plans and coordinated multi-agency support.
- Oversee the Team Around the Child/Family process and promote effective partnership working.
- Manage staff performance, appraisals, training needs, recruitment, absence and conduct matters.
- Provide professional advice and guidance, responding appropriately to complex or escalated issues.
- Contribute to service planning, performance management and continuous improvement.
- Ensure services are delivered in line with organisational policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Build effective relationships with families and partner agencies.
- Promote best practice, learning and professional development across the service.
- Support the effective use of resources and maintain appropriate financial and statutory compliance.
- Champion safeguarding, equality, inclusion, health and safety and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Significant experience working within Early Help, Family Support or a similar children's services environment.
- Previous experience leading, supervising or managing practitioners.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and child-centred practice.
- Experience coordinating multi-agency support and working through Team Around the Child/Family processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage complex situations and provide effective professional guidance.
- Commitment to inclusive, values-led leadership and delivering high-quality services.
- Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes for children and families.
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid role with a minimum requirement of two days per week in the office. This requirement is fixed, so candidates must be able to commit to the agreed office-based working pattern.
