- Vehicle Damage Assessors / Estimators
About the Roles
Successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle repair, preparation, refinishing, and damage assessment work across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Whether working in a hands-on repair role or as an estimator, you will be committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship, delivering excellent customer service, and contributing to an efficient and productive workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your role and experience, duties may include:
Technical Roles
- Vehicle preparation, masking, and refinishing
- Painting vehicles to a high standard
- Panel repair and replacement following Thatcham and Manufacturers Methods
- Polishing and finishing work
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness and health and safety standards
- Ensuring all repairs are completed to company and industry standards in a timely manner
Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor
- Assessing vehicle damage and repair requirements
- Preparing accurate repair estimates and job sheets and methods
- Liaising with customers, insurance companies, and suppliers
- Monitoring repair progress and managing repair costs
- Supporting workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within a vehicle Bodyshop environment
- Relevant experience in your chosen discipline
- Previous experience using estimating systems such as Audatex/GT
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving license
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working with prestige, luxury, or high-performance vehicles
- ATA accreditation or equivalent qualifications
- Own tools and equipment relevant to your trade
- Knowledge of modern vehicle technology, ADAS systems, and manufacturer repair methods
