Role Purpose
The role of the Electrical Engineer is to support the continued growth of EMEG Group’s M&E Department by delivering high-quality electrical engineering, servicing, maintenance and compliance support across a range of client projects. The role requires an experienced and self-motivated Electrical Engineer who can work collaboratively across teams, solve technical challenges, and provide practical solutions while contributing to the company’s commitment to safety, service excellence and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
· Diagnose and repair electrical problems on commercial and industrial electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring and installation.
· Assess parts required for service jobs and place orders for those parts.
· Install various types of containment systems, including tray, conduit and associated containment.
· Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and industrial electrical systems, ensuring installations meet current BS Standards.
· Ensure good quality workmanship that upholds company standards, complies with building codes and follows safety requirements.
· Work comfortably alone or as part of a team while maintaining professional standards.
· Provide exceptional face-to-face customer service and answer customer questions clearly and professionally.
· Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
· Apply working knowledge of IEE Regulations, City & Guilds and NVQ Level 3 requirements.
· Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Required
· Must be an Approved Electrician and hold all necessary qualifications.
· Possess ECS/CSCS Health & Safety qualification.
· Full UK driving licence.
· City & Guilds qualification.
· Level 3 NVQ qualified.
Preferred
· 4+ years’ experience.
· PASMA/IPAF
· Test and Inspection 2391
· 2921-34 EV Charging course.
· Testing experience.
· Fire alarm knowledge.
