Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in person centred care, with experience in home care, care homes, or similar environments. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their independence.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs
- Support medication administration as prescribed and monitor client health
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment
- Assist clients with mobility when necessary
- Support clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support
- Hours/shifts could include 0900-1400 and/or 1800-2100
- Able to work some evenings and alternate weekends
