Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic team here at RCA Garages. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles throughout our garage. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. As a skilled and experienced mechanic you will be responsible for carrying out work on more advanced parts such as wet belts, engines and gear boxes. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to assemble, disassemble, repair, or modify components
- Carry out advanced work on parts such as wet belts, engines, gear boxes etc.
- Conduct heavy lifting safely to move or position heavy machinery or parts as needed
- Diagnose mechanical problems accurately and implement effective repair solutions promptly
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with safety standards
- Strong knowledge of equipment repair procedures and preventive maintenance practices
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding repairs or maintenance issues
- Strong communication skills to document work accurately and follow instructions clearly
