About the role
We are looking for a reliable, hands on On Street Operative to join the night team supporting the Voi bike hire scheme in Glasgow. This is a field based role, working from a van across the city to keep bikes charged, available and in good condition ready for the morning.
Night shifts are where a large share of the battery swapping gets done, so you will have a clear, measurable impact on how the scheme runs the following day. You will work closely with the Hub Manager and the wider on street team.
Shift patterns available
We are recruiting for two positions. Each shift runs 18:00 to 02:30, which is 8 paid hours plus a 30 minute unpaid break, so 24 paid hours per week.
- Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 18:00 to 02:30
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 18:00 to 02:30
Both are permanent, part time positions.
Key responsibilities
- Work in the field using a van to complete tasks across the scheme
- Carry out battery swapping and keep bike availability high overnight
- Complete quality checks and flag faults so bikes are recovered or repaired promptly
- Use our apps and systems to plan your route and record your work
- Help maintain high standards of vehicle presentation, safety and service reliability
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with van experience and fewer than 6 penalty points
- Comfortable working outdoors at night in all weather conditions
- Good knowledge of the Glasgow area
- Reliable, proactive and safety focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
