Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Leicester
Are you a graduate looking to gain valuable experience working in education and make a real difference to young people?
A welcoming school in the Leicester area is looking for a dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children and interested in developing a career within education.
You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism and severe ADHD, as well as supporting students with medical needs such as diabetes. You will also work closely with the class teacher, providing day-to-day classroom support and helping create a positive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in any subject
- Be passionate about working with children and young people
- Have a patient, caring and resilient approach
- Be confident supporting children with SEND and additional needs
- Be willing to learn about and support students with medical needs
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Work effectively alongside teachers and other members of staff
- Be keen to gain hands-on experience within a school environment
