We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home support to clients within their own residences in Frinton and Hawick. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of individuals in need of care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support with medication administration following prescribed instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Help with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Support clients with specialised needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care, including behaviour management strategies
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behaviour to relevant healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans accurately and document all care provided
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is desirable
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and compassionate approach towards clients of all ages
- Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; a caring attitude and patience are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
