Teaching Learning and Student Experience Coordinator
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our Information, Advice and Guidance team as a Teaching Learning and Student Experience Coordinator. This role will coordinate the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and student experience administration, supporting effective processes, accurate information and excellent service provision. This is a student-facing role based within the School of Medical Sciences, requiring on-campus presence for the majority of the working week.
The School of Medical Sciences hosts the UK’s largest undergraduate medical programme and ranks in the top ten for dentistry. A part of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience within the School, the Information, Advice and Guidance team oversees the Student Support Hub, academic advising, peer mentoring, student engagement, and the student voice.

Coordinating the delivery of student-facing Information, Advice and Guidance services, including email, telephone and face-to-face enquiries, ensuring a responsive, accurate and studentcentred service.

Supervising and coordinating administrative colleagues and defined areas of activity, including work allocation, staff rotas, training and acting as a point of reference for the team.

Coordinating student support, engagement and development initiatives, including peer mentoring, engagement with societies, student representatives, wellbeing activity and student voice work.

Coordinating events and activities that support the student experience, including welcome and induction, graduation, careers events and other School-level initiatives.

Reviewing, monitoring and improving local administrative processes and procedures, supporting the implementation of policies and contributing to continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria

Relevant knowledge and experience, including teaching and learning, and/or student administrative policies and procedures.

Experience of working in a team environment within a large organisation, with the ability to be flexible and provide support for colleagues.

Able to supervise staff and coordinate work activities.

Flexible and responsive to customer needs with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide information, advice and guidance whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise a variety of work activities in a busy environment and meet strict deadlines.
Desirable Criteria

Knowledge of Student Support Services.

Experience of working in a customer service environment.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

Demonstrable high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Good digital literacy skills with experience of, or willingness to be trained in appropriate systems.
