Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving activities. Responsibilities
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and stocking of goods.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and movements.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Support mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance when required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of materials handling, picking & packing, stocking, and quality control processes.
- Valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit with the capability to load & unload goods and stand for extended periods.
