We’re looking for a part-time bar supervisor for our awesome taproom in Old Sarum. At the taproom, we have 20 keg lines offering the full range from our popular brewery (situated immediately behind the taproom) as well as the occasional guest beer. We also have a HUGE beer fridge stuffed to the brim with the best beers you'll find for miles.
We are offering between 16 and 30 hours per week. The hours will grow as you take on more responsibilities. All applicants will need to be confident enough to eventually manage shifts on busy days with the support of our bar team.
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY AND A PASSION FOR BEER ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS POSITION.
Responsibilities include
- Most importantly, making our customers feel welcome. We want you to converse with the clientele. Chat about the beer. Chat about life. We don't want you to be a robot. We very much need friendly humans behind the bar.
- Ensuring that all licensing requirements are met at all times.
- Dealing with any issues that may arise during the shift and ensuring these are handled in a professional manner.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the taproom.
- Informing customers of different beers available (20 on draft, 1 on cask, plus lots of cans and bottles) and helping them choose which they may like. We encourage you to try the products so you can give informed advice.
- Setting up/closing down the bar areas to a high standard.
- Managing a small team of bar staff during busy shifts.

You will be paid hourly (between £13 and £14 per hour depending on experience and personal license). Other benefits include regular discounts on beer & merch, regular team nights out.
