Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of maintenance work, gardening and decorating. Have the ability to maintain and repair the premises and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, have good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, building, garden and machinery to ensure safe use.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical equipment & water pipework.
- Conduct audit inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer skills while interacting with clients, visitors, contractors and team members.
- Collaborate with Home and Estates Managers to coordinate maintenance schedules, action plans and servicing requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Maintain up to date records of maintenance & H&S audits
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a maintenance, decorating & gardening roles.
- Familiarity with household electrical and plumbing systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact within a team effectively.
- Strong interaction skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English to service users and visitors.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Previous all round experience is preferred.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Complete awareness training to enable safe working and environment.
- A clean driving license and access to a vehicle is required to carry out this role.
- A selection of own tools to use to complete tasks.
