Overview
As Deputy Service Manager, you will support the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of TBYMUK’s online mental health support service. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, while supporting Team Leaders and Mental Health Professionals (MHPs) in their roles.
This is a development-focused leadership role, ideal for someone with experience in team coordination, service delivery, or operations who is looking to progress into senior management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery Support
● Support the Service Manager in ensuring the online support service aligns with organisational priorities and user needs.
● Assist in monitoring service performance and identifying areas for improvement.
● Contribute to the implementation of new initiatives and service developments.
2. Operational Oversight
● Work closely with Team Leaders and Mental Health Professionals to address day-to-day challenges and maintain effective service delivery.
● Support the embedding of feedback into practice to improve service quality.
● Ensure safeguarding, data protection, and ethical standards are upheld across the service.
3. Coordination & Service Management
● Assist in the coordination of TBYMUK’s Online Mental Health Service.
● Support the scheduling and resourcing of volunteer shifts to ensure consistent service coverage.
● Monitor that case records are completed appropriately and in a timely manner.
● Ensure referrals to Team Leaders or Mental Health Professionals are actioned correctly.
● Work with Academy Development to support delivery of induction and CPD resources.
● Support Volunteer Services with recruitment and onboarding where required.
4. Team Support & Communication
● Provide ongoing support and guidance to Team Leaders and volunteers.
● Act as a key point of contact for operational queries and escalation where appropriate.
● Attend meetings and contribute updates on service delivery and operational performance.
● Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence.
