We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Support Officer to join the University’s Research and Innovation (RI) Directorate.
The Research Support Officer provides research administrative support for key initiatives within Research and Innovation Services, including support to colleagues across the department in co-ordinating funding enquiries, funding opportunities, training and development opportunities for staff and on-going project management.
The role will provide professional project support to academics throughout the full project lifecycle- from costing support, maximising grant funding awarded and ensure compliance with funding guidelines from point of application, through award and with post project closedown.
You will have experience of project administration within the Higher Education research funding environment along with demonstratable knowledge of funding body audit requirements.
With a degree or equivalent qualification in a finance related subject, or significant demonstrable experience, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work to strict deadlines and meet targets.
You will also have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and advanced Excel.
