Specialist Mortgage Advisor – Second Charge Lending
Location- Hybrid role based in Cardiff
Salary- £35,000 – £50,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
Uncapped commission structure with realistic OTE of £60,000+
About the Role
An established and growing specialist finance brokerage is seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor with a background in second charge lending. Leads and enquiries are provided through a combination of company-generated business, introducers, and professional partnerships.
Key Responsibilities

Provide professional, proactive and client-focused mortgage advice

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the lending journey

Deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets

Communicate effectively with lenders, clients and third parties involved in the process

Develop and maintain relationships with banks and lending partners

Maintain accurate and compliant client records using the company CRM system

Follow internal compliance procedures and maintain detailed case records

Liaise with clients before and after application submission

Support review and referral strategies

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team development

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience advising on secured or second charge loans

Experience managing cases from enquiry through to completion

CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)

Proven track record in second charge mortgage sales

Comfortable working to targets in a fast-paced environment

Good understanding of property finance solutions and exit strategies

Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
