We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lift Service, Maintenance & Repair Engineer to join our growing team. The role involves carrying out maintenance, call-outs, and minor repairs across a wide range of vertical and inclined lift systems.
This is a customer-facing position requiring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance visits, emergency call-outs, and minor repairs on a variety of lift types.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions.
- Identify and report reliability or safety concerns, including those raised by clients.
- Provide clear and accurate technical feedback to the Sales Department.
- Ensure all work complies with current standards, codes of practice, and statutory regulations.
- Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner in line with company procedures.
- Manage workload efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Support colleagues in other regions when required.
- Participate in the company’s 24/7 on-call rota.
Technical Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering Maintenance.
- Proven experience working on a range of lift systems from different manufacturers.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of lift standards, codes of practice, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving capability.
