Job Description:
To carry out installation, service, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in commercial and domestic properties. The engineer will ensure all work is completed to high standards, following health and safety regulations and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and portable air conditioning systems.
- Routine maintenance and servicing of air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out efficient repairs.
- Completing job reports and service documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations and other industry standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
- Providing technical advice and recommendations to clients as needed.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with customers and office staff.
- Managing van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in good condition.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
- F-Gas Certification (Category 1).
- CSCS/ECS Card (preferred).
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in air conditioning installation and servicing.
- Strong knowledge of split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and packaged systems.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Competent in diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Professional, reliable, and customer focused.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Comfortable using mobile apps/CRM systems (e.g., Joblogic).
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (with flexibility for overtime and emergency callouts).
