Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Follow care plans established by healthcare professionals to meet the individual needs of each resident.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care home environment.
- Support residents in engaging in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
