Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest services, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. The successful applicant will be responsible for upholding food safety standards, assisting with food preparation when necessary, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing any concerns
- Uphold food safety standards and assist with basic food preparation if required
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods with excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are vital
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent guest services
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the establishment
