Role Title: Project Support Officer

Salary: £ 29,451 - £32,236
We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Project Support Officer to join our Funding and Projects team. This integral role will involve supporting the coordination and financial monitoring of externally funded projects, including the administration of Personal Learning Accounts. The post holder will need to form effective working relationships with stakeholders such as; Vice Principal for Work Based Learning & Employment Engagement, Assistant Principal for Employer Engagement, Projects and Funding Specialist, External agencies as necessary, Projects and Funding Team.
What you will do
Support curriculum contacts with the administration and development of designated projects
Undertake efficient records management of activity in line with internal and external procedures and requirements
Support the preparation for internal and external audit of funded activity
Financial monitoring of project partners where applicable
Assist in the dissemination of projects and support follow up contact to external clients
Promote and raise awareness of Externally funded Activity within the college
Prepare statistical and financial returns in line with funding provider requirements
Assist where appropriate in providing support and guidance to college managers with regard to financial management and project administration decision making.
Must haves
An NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
A Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
A Level 2 Digital Literacy or is willing to work towards
Demonstrable experience in a project support role including the production and maintenance of information systems
Demonstrable experience of working in an administration support role including the production and maintenance of financial/claims information
Proven project management skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, able to use MS Word to and Excel to Intermediate level. Competent with Google
Able to problem solve and make own low-level financial decisions within the constraints of Financial procedures and regulations
Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
