Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent time management, and a solid understanding of engineering software such as Adobe and Bluebeam. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing teams, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, coordinating all phases of construction activities.
- Utilise Bluebeam for design review, site analysis, and technical documentation to support project planning and implementation.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Monitor project progress regularly, identifying potential delays or issues early and implementing corrective measures.
- Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiations, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental policies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, architects, engineers, and on-site teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential for scheduling and project planning.
- Experience with Bluebeam for engineering design and site analysis is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues promptly.
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management are preferred.
