We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance Assistant to lead the ongoing success of the dual-branded Aloft & Residence Inn by Marriott in Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter.
This is a unique opportunity to assist in the launch of two of Marriott’s most dynamic brands—Aloft, known for its bold design and social energy, and Residence Inn, crafted for longer stays and residential comfort—in one vibrant destination.
Position Summary
As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll be responsible for carrying out maintenance works promptly and to the highest standard ensuring delivery of an excellent guest and team member experience whilst meeting the hotels business objectives.
You will be responsible for providing in-house routine & preventive maintenance and ensuring adherence to all company statutory and legal regulatory requirements during repairs.
Required Skills
Good general knowledge of the systems used in hotels together with the ability to undertake repairs allocated to them.

Experience
- Carry out basic painting and decorating, including touch-ups and minor refurbishments
- Perform basic plumbing work such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, toilets, and clearing minor blockages
- Handle basic electrical tasks including replacing light fittings, bulbs, sockets, and switches (within safety guidelines)
- Complete general day-to-day repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance checks
- Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
- Liaise with and assist external contractors when required
