We are seeking a vigilant and professional Retail Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including providing first aid when required.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety standards.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents or investigations.
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during emergency situations.
- Basic first aid certification is desirable to provide immediate assistance if necessary.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrol duties effectively.
