We're looking for an experienced Credit Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to underwrite and sanction a range of Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending facilities, balancing sound credit judgement with commercial awareness to support sustainable business growth.
Working closely with New Business, Relationship Management and Risk teams, you'll assess complex lending proposals, provide commercially focused credit decisions and help shape solutions that deliver great customer outcomes while protecting the Bank's risk appetite.
What will your day look like?

Underwrite and sanction new business applications and in-life reviews across Invoice Discounting, Factoring, Specialist Finance and Asset Based Lending facilities.

Assess financial performance, debtor books, collateral, security structures and repayment capacity to make informed lending decisions.

Structure facilities that balance customer needs with the Bank's risk appetite and lending policy.

Produce clear, well-reasoned credit recommendations and support decision-making at Credit Committee and Risk Forum.

Work collaboratively with Relationship Managers, Business Development, Operations, Legal, Financial Crime and Risk teams throughout the lending process.

Monitor existing facilities, identifying emerging risks, covenant breaches and portfolio trends.

Maintain excellent service levels while ensuring robust, consistent and high-quality credit decisions.

Contribute to the ongoing development of credit policies, processes and risk management practices within the Invoice Finance business.
What do we expect from you?
You'll bring strong technical expertise within Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending, alongside the ability to make balanced, commercially aware lending decisions. You enjoy working collaboratively, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
You'll also have:

Strong experience underwriting and sanctioning Invoice Finance and/or Asset Based Lending facilities.

In-depth knowledge of Invoice Discounting, Factoring and working capital products.

Excellent financial analysis skills, including assessing debtor books, collateral, security and transaction risk.

The ability to identify key risks, recommend appropriate mitigants and structure lending solutions effectively.

Strong written communication skills, with experience producing clear credit papers and recommendations.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decisions.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases while delivering against service level expectations.

A relevant professional qualification in banking, finance, accounting or risk would be advantageous.
