Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in all spaces by adhering to cleaning schedules and protocols
- Handle waste disposal efficiently, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and waste is sorted correctly
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed to ensure continuous availability
- Follow health and safety guidelines meticulously to prevent accidents or contamination during cleaning tasks
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution
- Support additional duties such as laundry, bed-making, or organizing communal areas when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Previous experience working in hospital environments or healthcare settings is a strong advantage
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or supplies
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- A positive attitude with a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
