SEN Teaching Assistant – September 2026 Start | Bournemouth & Poole

The Supply Room is recruiting dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants for September 2026 starts across specialist and inclusive schools in Bournemouth and Poole. These roles support children aged 5–11 with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.
These are hands-on, rewarding positions best suited to individuals who are patient, adaptable and genuinely committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning. The schools we partner with provide incredible support but require staff who are confident, consistent and ready to build positive relationships with pupils who may need additional structure and understanding.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of recent experience supporting children or young people within the last 2–3 years
- Experience supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
- A background in settings such as schools, childcare or nursery settings, youth work, summer camps or activity programmes, children’s residential care, mental health services
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A positive, resilient and proactive approach
- Full-time availability from September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm
Pay: £92 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
