Personal Assistant (PA)

Hourly rate: £13.00
Flexible hours available throughout the year.
The role is primarily to support during school holidays, although additional hours are available during term time. Shifts are generally 3–4 hours per outing, with flexibility to suit both parties where possible.
I am looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to provide 1:1 support for my wonderful 7-year-old daughter.
She is autistic, non-verbal and has a learning disability. She requires close supervision and support while accessing the community. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with additional needs enjoy fun, safe and meaningful experiences.
- Providing 1:1 support during community outings and activities.
- Supporting with personal care when required.
- Ensuring her safety at all times.
- Encouraging communication, play and engagement in activities.
- Following her routines and supporting her individual needs.
- Building a positive, trusting relationship with both my daughter and our family.
- Experience working with children with autism and/or additional needs.
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own reliable vehicle.
- Comfortable providing personal care.
- Patient, caring, reliable and trustworthy.
- Able to remain calm and confident in different situations, including supporting complex needs.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of autism and sensory needs.
- Experience supporting non-verbal children.
- First Aid training (desirable but not essential).
