Golden Valley is a rural practice, caring for 5000+ patients, situated just outside Hereford. We also dispense medication to our patients from our two sites.
The surgery uses EMIS web and although experience of this would be an advantage, full training will be given.

Due to a change in working hours, an opportunity has arisen for a Scanner/Admin Support Assistant position within our friendly, rural Dispensing Practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking individual to join our team.
You would be providing general admin support to the Practice Manager, Doctors and Health Care Professionals, involving scanning, filing and document management.
The post is 8 hours per week, your working day would be Wednesday 9.00am to 5.30pm with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break. You would also be required to cover holidays and sickness within the admin team.
Salary is dependant on experience.

Job responsibilities:
- Scan patient-related documents onto their medical record using read codes as agreed by the clinical team.
- Carry out administrative tasks relating to patient records, including filing and document management.
- Ensure incoming letters are scanned onto the patient record within the required timescale.
- Scan all internal paper documents onto the relevant patient's record and then store the documents in line with sugery procedures.
- Add any additional information about the source of the document.
- Forward the document to the doctor or nurse who initiated the referral or who is most appropriate to receive the information.
- Process administrative tasks on clinical systems.
- To assist the practice team with clerical and administrative duties as maybe reasonably required.
- To work as a positive and supportive team member, providing cover for similar posts as required.
- To attend meetings and training as appropriate for the role and as required.
- To keep up to date with practice information including policy and procedure changes, staff rotas, alerts and service provisions. Follow practice protocols to ensure consistent and high quality care is provided to our patients.
- To provide cover for members of the admin team during periods of sickness and annual leave.
- To receive and dispatch mail as required.
- To complete other tasks as may be reasonably required.
Pay: £12.96 per hour
