Junior Contract Manager
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Basildon, Essex
Work Location: The role will be primarily on the road driving between client sites as well as working in our offices in Basildon
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8am – 5pm. Friday: 8am - 4pm. (Flexibility required depending on site demands)
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Junior Contract Manager to support the delivery of flooring projects across the UK. This is a predominantly site-based role involving regular travel to active projects, working closely with Contract Managers to ensure projects are delivered safety, on time, and to the highest standard.
The role involves frequent site visits, coordination of works, and acting as a key link between site teams and the office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into Contract Management within the construction or flooring industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance across multiple projects
- Support Contracts Managers in the day-to-day running of projects from start to completion
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Attend site meetings and provide clear updates to the Contracts Management team
- Ensure RAMS documentation is in place, signed, and adhered to on site
- Complete site reports, progress updates, and maintain accurate records
- Identify and escalate any site issues, delays, or risks in a timely manner
- Assist with site surveys, measures, and project planning where required
- Support the coordination of labour, materials, and site logistics
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with company standards and health & safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience within construction, flooring, or a site-based role (Essential)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and tasks
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills when dealing with site teams, clients, and management
- Willingness to travel regularly and work across multiple project locations
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Basic understanding of health & safety and site compliance (desirable)
Licenses and Certifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- CSCS Card (essential)
- SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Health & Safety training (desirable)
