We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support a civils project in Birmingham for an initial two-month period. The successful candidate will have strong experience across HS2 civils, roads and deep drainage, with the confidence to lead site activities, communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and support site engineering activities across civils, roads and deep drainage works.
· Set out works accurately in line with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
· Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and labour to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently.
· Monitor progress, quality and workmanship, raising and resolving issues where required.
· Ensure works are completed in line with health, safety and environmental standards.
· Maintain clear site records, including progress updates, permits, checks and handover documentation.
· Liaise with site management, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
· Essential experience in civils, roads and deep drainage works.
· Strong setting out and technical engineering capability.
· Excellent spoken and written English.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with site teams and stakeholders.
· Ability to lead a team and take responsibility for day-to-day site coordination.
· Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
· Relevant engineering qualification and valid site cards or tickets are desirable.
Pay: £30.00-£42.00 per hour
