Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful execution from inception to completion
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, caterers, and other stakeholders to secure services and manage contracts effectively
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Manage guest registration processes, attendee communication, and on-site guest services to enhance overall experience
- Implement upselling strategies to maximize revenue opportunities during events by promoting additional services or packages
- Utilize strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Maintain detailed organizational records including schedules, vendor contacts, and event documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event management within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or fundraising environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, team members, and guests
- Experience in upselling additional services or products to enhance revenue streams
- Familiarity with guest services principles and hospitality standards to ensure exceptional attendee experiences
- Effective time management skills to handle fast-paced environments and meet deadlines consistently
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for creating engaging events is essential
