Equity Analyst (Real Estate / REITs)
Job Description
This is an opportunity to join an early-stage fintech platform redefining equity research for the listed real estate sector. The platform combines institutional-grade research with real-time, interactive financial modelling, targeting a step-change in how investors analyse REITs.
You will work directly with an experienced investment professional and contribute to both core research output and the ongoing development of the platform. The role is hands-on, analytical, and commercially exposed from day one.
This position suits a high-agency individual who is comfortable operating in an unstructured environment and motivated by steep learning curves, early responsibility, and longer-term upside.
Role Responsibilities
You will contribute across research, modelling, and product development:
- Maintain financial models for listed real estate companies (REITs and property companies).
- Conduct fundamental analysis, including valuation and capital allocation assessment.
- Produce written research, including company and sector reports, and client-facing materials.
- Attend company presentations, management meetings, and asset tours; distil key insights.
- Monitor real estate markets, capital markets, and sector-specific developments.
- Source, clean, and structure data to support analytical outputs and platform functionality.
- Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s research methodology and platform capabilities.
- Support content production and quality control across published materials.
Candidate Profile
We are open on experience level, but the successful candidate will demonstrate clear evidence of analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and self-direction.
- Strong analytical foundation (finance, economics, mathematics, or similar preferred).
- Interest in real estate, capital markets, or investing; prior exposure is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outputs.
- High attention to detail and comfort working with data.
- Clear, structured written and verbal communication.
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with financial modelling concepts is advantageous.
- Exposure to Python or data analysis tools is beneficial but not essential.
- Interest in applying AI tools (LLMs, automation workflows) to research and productivity.
Working Style and Expectations
This is a high-performance, early-stage environment. The role offers significant autonomy and responsibility, but requires a proactive approach to learning and output.
- You will be expected to build domain expertise in listed real estate over time.
- You should be comfortable learning independently and improving rapidly through iteration.
- The team operates with a strong bias toward ownership, accountability, and output quality.
