Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to create delicious meals that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or large groups as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
- Adapt recipes and menus based on seasonal ingredients or dietary restrictions when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
